Hi, perhaps this storage suggestion is not necessary, but I can
say this cake freezes well.
I used a 20cm one but 7 inches is actually 17. something - it didn’t come out too flat but next time I’ll use a different tin.
Update: less than 24 hours after that cake came out of the oven - it has all gone.
We are having our last slices with our tea right now.
Thanks for this recipe. I might have been a bit heavy with the cloves, and l had to substitute dried cranberries for raisins, but it was delicious.
Yes, I reduced the amount of cloves as well.
