It can vary so much. I like to taste a little before buying any truffle/truffled product.

Ah, so that’s why truffles are so expensive in France - they’re all exported to the US, Fortunately for us over here, Trump’ll surely put a stop to that and then we’ll be able to gorge ourselves on cheap French truffles.
Or am I just sadly looking for a glimmer of light in the darkness… ?
