It seems quite clear that Israel have created a situation of terror among the ordinary Lebanese people, regardless of the effect they may have had on Hezbollah. It may already be too late to divert the next few generations of Palestinians and connected Arabs from deciding that Israel has no right to exist as a state, and doing their best to bring that about.
This cannot play out well in the future.

A chap I used to work with at NEC told me a story of his delivering a truck full of pagers to an industrial estate in Berlin at midnight and receiving a bag full of US Dollars as payment.
He didn’t say he was terrified the entire time, but he did say if he’d have been rectally concealing a piece of coal during the exchange, he’d have had a diamond afterwards.
Possibly being investigated as a war crime, on the basis that it didn’t specifically target combatants. Those pagers could have, and did, injure and kill civilians, including children. If Iran had pulled this stunt we’d be bombing them now. It’s time for sanctions.

Anti-semitic rules laid down by Israel, a persistent international law breaker, a country that doesn’t play by the rules of the civilised world. I’m quite comfortable in my criticism of Israel in the knowledge that plenty of Jews agree with the fundamentals of what i say. Netanyahu is evil. Israel has proven in the past that it can take decisive action against it’s enemies with little to no risk to innocents.

Is a slur that Isreal and many Jewish lobbies, particularly in the UK and US, have used for decades to create a smokescreen for Israeli atrocities. Those of us who have been concerned about the Palestine situation have, also for decades, been careful to differentiate between what Israel was doing and what Jewish people worldwide supported.
Sadly, since 41% of jewish people live in Isreal, which is committing genocide, and 41% live in the US, which is facilitating it, despite the demonstrations by liberal jewish people who are appalled by the loss of life in Gaza, this cannot be good for the overall perception of jewish people.
That is why I read Haaretz, the paper of record in Israel, to get a balanced perspective. Here’s one of their stories from today. Sadly it is paywalled.
Edit: I should add, that after many years of observation, I think Israel is now rotten to the core. The extremists are in control and the liberals have been outflanked and outwitted.

Iran is arming both Hezbollah and Putin.
Israel is also keen to have a go at iran, which would help Ukraine.
