Well close to 2017 and a lot has happened…with a lot more to follow.
One of my good friends in London called me last night and we chatted
about our Christmas celebrations and then discussed my visit in April.
She announced that I would notice how crowded I would find London.
And yes I know…spotted all this crescendo of people rushing onto
trains and buses in desperation and being parked in a corridor before being
admitted to Charring X hospital for septasemia…which one of the GPs at
my local practice thought was inflammation of the joints and another gout.
And the nonchalance which filled the air which once was self contained in local community spirit.
My way of dealing with every thing was head on…move on.
London was my birthplace and the place where I had lived for a long time
and to leave was to cut the ties of emotion and move on…to France.
And here, eventually we have found friends and people who share similar memories through music, fashion and cuisine.
There will always be life after London.
