Chicken chat!

No chickens, or other fowl, but did have when I lived in the UK. We had all sorts, chickens, partridge, pheasants, geese, ducks, guinea fowl etc. A friend of my Father, gave us some quail eggs as a gift my Mother, didn’t like the idea of eating them so I put them in an incubator to see if they’d hatch & they did, later on they escaped so there’s now a local population in the SE of England.

But WHY??:rofl: they give so much to a veggie garden!

And they are so endearing and nice to have around

I thought I’d update if anyone has this problem in the future. As I mentioned I’d read to do the epsom sslt bath and canestsn every 2nd day. Due to my timetable this week I knew I couldn’t Mon / Tue as I’m not home until after dark. So as posted I did it twice on the weekend. I just got the bath ready, cream out, lab coat and gloves on and went down to get her and lo and behold before I even caught her I could see she was back to a healthy looking fluffy derier and on closer inspection a healthy, perfect colour, no seeping vent! So pleased and glad it wasn’t the week or so long process I feared!
