Probably because in the UK we have tossers in charge no matter which bunch you choose, thankfully it doesnt annoy me.
I now need a drawerful of devices to open jars, bottles and containers, as I have very weak arthritic hands. It has got noticeably worse with these new design of permanently attached caps and on a bottle of fresh squeezed orange juice, I had to give up and ended up drilling two holes in the bottom and pouring the contents into a glass. The top was smooth with no knurling or serrations and nothing would get a grip on it, not even a pair of water pump pliers.
I find them a good idea too and no bother, the reduction in discarded caps in beach areas has been very noticable too
This morning the tinfoil must have heard what I said and decided to give me a hard time. Eventually letting go it left bits of tinfoil still attached where extra “superglue” must have been added. They then had to be scraped off with a fingernail. Surely there is an easier way of securing these bottles.
