There’s only one person responsible for all this. It 's Guardiola who brought us tortoise football and everyone is copying him. Plus allowing defenders in the box at goal kicks meaning they automatically have possession !

Football is so boring, compared with rugby. It’s like a game of chess. We watched part of Spain v Georgia, but gave up half way through. Although Spain did win with 4 goals, one of which we did see !

I’m a rugby union man myself, but even rugby league is far more entertaining than the current football snoozefest.

Toulouse’s rugby à 15 is stupendous! I watched a few Rugby á 7 matches last year - Antoine Dupont excelled there as well.
Anyone who watched football in the 50s/60s and 70s must detest the modern version. A dumbed down, cissified version played by a bunch of fairies pathetically weeping and wailing win, lose or miss a penalty kick!
It used to be a man’s game and as for tactics the one England employs i.e. Be Afraid and negative is the worst by far. I was praying Albania would get rid of them as at least other teams want to attack and go forward.
I followed the women’s euros & World Cup, much more like football than the men’s game & more entertaining. There was not much foul play acting with the girls.

Watching the Germany Spain game and very difficult to believe they are actually competing in the same tournament as England! England look like amateurs in comparison🙄

I’m glad they are through, though penalty shootouts are a horrible way to win or lose a match.

Agree, but ideally I’d prefer to watch Nederland England with some of our Dutch friends in a local bar with a bit of atmosphere.
