Fourth Jab anyone? Be prepared for the next Wave

I had hospital appointment at end of April. Had to use pass before registering. My specialist is now lining me up for jab number 6 . Thankfully never had covid and never had any reactions to jabs.

in France?

Yes I have lived in France for 17 years and not been to UK since 2009. I have stage 4 kidney failure and 2020 my colon exploded so am both vulnerable and fragile. My specialist is based in Macon dept71

We’ve had our official invitations from Ameli, but we’re already sorted for 16th May.
However, it’s nice to note they are actually inviting (aka reminding) folk that the 4th Jab is available.

Yes, we’ve read similar stuff… but as we’ve never been infected with Covid/variants… we are quite happy to take all the protection we can get.

I’m glad to see the levels are particularly high 2 weeks after… as that’s when we shall be meeting lots of pals, so I shall still be careful but not paranoid.

Fourth dose today. Can’t wait for the fifth  Soon to be an annual event, like flu?

I have no problem with an annual jab. As I have friends who are still suffering, after 2 years… there’s no way I want any part of covid, or any of its mates…

That is the part even the scientists do not understand.

“That is the part even the scientists do not understand.”
Which part ??? asks Bemused from Bermondsey

Why some are effected for a couple of years and having had numerous jabs and some get over it in 4-5 days having had 0 jabs.
Not that 0 jabs is what I am suggesting it is purely illustrative of some peoples experiences

Ah… my friends came back to UK from SAmerica around February 2020 … and brought it with them (unknowingly). So they were amongst the early birds.
In Hospital for months, out now but still suffering in 2022, with longterm damage to lungs and heaven knows what else …

Covid et al… It is a puzzle… to which there seems no clear answer… not yet anyway…

Better to have a booster every 6 months?

So far, so good, I’ll boost when I’m told to :joy:

Timely question. I’ve received a notification for the 4th jab. I knew it was looming but it was abstract. The notification made it real and, tbh, I’m not sure I want to have it.

I had a bit of a health scare last year and was seemingly misdiagnosed with a heart condition by a cardiologist. A 2nd opinion, 5 months later, gave me an all clear but that first diagnosis was weeks after my 2nd jab.

I am most positively not saying the 1st jabs caused a problem but it has left me uncertain. I’m by no means anti vaccination, nor of conspiratorial leanings, but I do avoid meds as a general rule. I’m still weighing up whether I want the 4th jab.

I think that is a wise precaution. There were several cases of heart problems and other illneses after the jabs which seemed to be from the jab not going into the muscle but hitting a blood vessel so making it to the heart much quicker. I was ill for 2.5 days, not thankfully heart but not something I would want again.
The metalic taste in my mouth immediately the injection was given was just like the chemo days and that was given in a tube right by the heart.

This is still an area of investigation. I don’t have any insight at the moment, and I’m not hearing anything through the grapevine.

Curiously enough I was doing some work yesterday with serum donated from vaccinees, and the antibody present was super effective against the original strain but somewhat less so against Omicron. It would not be a surprise to see a modified sequence vaccine as a booster in the future.

My manager has a lady who is an oncology specialist but also has been looking into covid and long covid, she said the same. Also very puzzled why some are laid low for such a long time.

I have not been the same since the third jab and get breathless despite not having tested positive.
I am pretty wary about having any more vaccines as are many I discuss it with.
