Now, I went back to my advert, but was unable to see the part of the page that you have shown. Is this because the ad is already 'live'? Is there an editing feature? Do I have to delete and start again?

Go to your post and hit the 'edit' button. Click your mouse where you want to place the picture. If you want the image inside a passage of text then hit the return key a couple of times to make space for it.
Now drag the image from your desktop and drop it carefully onto the exact spot you want it.
You should see the image uploading and once dome you can select all the code and move it around if required.
Finish editing and you are good to go.
