How Do Y’all Prevent Calcium Build Up In Your Water Heaters?

I am an engineering consultant back in uk, electronic water descaler’s have been around for many years and do exactly what they say on the label, they change the ions in the water which basically stops them sticking to the pipe.
They also in time charge the ions on the scale that is already set on the walls of the pipe and it will break down, slowly, unless you oversize them, they are non-invasive in that they need fitting straight after the meter on the main feed, its a few coils wrapped around pipe, plug into box and turn it on and no playing with pipework
There are straight magnetic ones but not as strong.
Once working no need to pull cylinders apart to clean and mess about.
There are lots out there, cheap and cheerful and scary stupid but thats all down to size on units, and if you dont like the idea changing properties of water, trust me you have been drinking it for years and I am not aware of any health issues, and given water companies recommend, trust me if there was a chance of where theirs blame theirs a claim they would not go near them.
Just look on the web and look for water descaler, found one in about 2 sec, £195, which is a lot cheaper than replacing pipework or water heaters, just size to suit your supply size. have a read of the attached web it says a lot more than I do, ps I am not selling or linked, shop around I would, but that might be the yorkshire blood in me.
