Interpreting results of French blood test

Before I could ring this morning I was rung by the surgery and told that the doctor had seen the lab report and says that there is nothing in it to worry about and therefore no need for a follow up visit.

Must say I am a little surprised but the trouble is that translating French terms only vaguely understood into English only produces vaguely understood English terms.

I must admit though that I have no alarming symptoms and the left side abdomen pains that prompted the initial visit seem to have stopped. Whether because of the completion of the course of pills or because of an improvement in my wife’s condition re the fall she had, which allows me now to raise her up using my arms under her armpits and throwing my weight backwards rather than the twisting of my body when I could only use her left hand (which I thought might have been the cause of my pains), I don’t know.

Even better, this morning she managed to get up from her bed herself for the first time since her recent fall. So good news for both of us.

If I had a doctor who did not look at results until I asked him to do so… I would change.
I am not a medical person and rely on the professional to do his/her bit promptly/properly.

Thankfully, our Doc is one of the good guys.
If he spots something he phones…
Indeed, he has done so for OH, whose situation is perilous at times…he takes such a cocktail of medication which has to be carefully monitored… and the regular blood test plays a vital role in keeping things on an even keel.

I’d like to live in your world - where there are enough doctors that you can change if anything is less than perfect!

I’m just happy to live here, where I can get to see a doctor even if I have to keep an eye on actions.

I am very glad that the various towns around me… do have a supply of Doctors.

They are very busy, most of them are overloaded even, but that does not stop them being conscientious.
