They’re a bit different to GGP, but From Gagarin’s Point of View is one of my favourite pieces of music.
You might also like the Espen Eriksen Trio. Their album with Andy Shepherd is great, too.

A combo in this genre who I really ought to mention (since I did a promotional photo shoot for them!) is the David Gordon Trio:
We did the shoot in David’s front room which was tricky as it was quite small, and a piano and drum kit filled most of it! They wanted a nightclub vibe so i used directional flash lighting.

There is a lone woman in there but what instrument is she playing?
Have considered this as something for my funeral - but to lighten the mood, hopefully it’s not imminent. Bought the LP in 1971(?) and still have it but was delighted to discover the music’s also available online.
Hier Encore, Charles Aznavour. Had this, among other things, at my mother’s funeral a week ago. He was a friend and I don’t think it lightens the mood but it’s beautiful and very moving.

Thank you for this Vero. Takes me back to my teens and my falling in love with the wonderful, exotic mystery of all things French. Never understood a word, but loved the sound of his pronunciation.
I hope now you can find again your mother of her younger years when she was well.
