No wonder the impressionists loved it here!
Calm down would you? Its the time when every Santa has a ball.
Merry Xmas Everybody
That could make all the difference in the Christmas pop quiz.
Yet another reason for avoiding the UK…
Our post lady came around with the calendar on Wednesday
First frost of this winter… perishing out there… but the fields look marvellous, sparkling in the sunshine.
and the extra cheerful news is that our neighbour harvested his kiwi crop 2 days ago… phew… this frost would/could have ruined those delicious fruit.
Yet another day when I can barely see the house across the field.
Mists and mellow fruitfullness…
or, in your case… thick fog
Clearing gutters and Velux channels
November is a time for slowly cutting back our hedge, by hand. It has expanded by about 30-40cm in height and width without us realising, since we moved here 3 years ago. It looks brutal but it will grow back, we are assured!.
Yes hedges tend to do that. Ours started out like yours 30 years ago and now we can’t even see the fence, it is in the middle somewhere. The hedge came first, bit by bit, and the fence later, intentionally leaving enough room between them to walk down with a small mower.
there was really no need for you to share you fog with me
it feels like Brigadoon here…
Nursing a cold.
Just pulled up a couple of leeks, with great difficulty, they are now in with some of our potatoes and garlic (only onions not home grown!) for our first soup of the year!
Nice leaks
