Are there any British level 3 ITEC trained aromatherapists working in France with your own oils or are you having to use bought pre-blended oil?
Are there any Level 3 ITEC sports masseurs practicing sports massage or again, does it have to be called “bien etre”?
Also, with a VTCT waxing qualification am I allowed to do waxing?
It’s such a shame we study for internationally recognised qualifications but, for some reason France doesn’t recognise them.
I would be so grateful for any therapists that have worked their way around this red tape to post/DM
Don’t know about waxing, but as for the rest there are strict controls so you can’t do sports massage without french qualification, so only soft tissue bien-être massages.
You can use your own oils, but you would have to have them checked by a “l’évaluateur sécurité” and have their certificate. Otherwise just pure oils that you add absolutely nothing too.
France is full of beauticians and schools to train them so I imagine it would be possible to do a short course.
It’s a little thing called Brexit that changed everything.
Just do the French exams you’ll know all the work stuff so it’ll be excellent for your French, and actually maybe there are things we do differently here so it’ll be a nice top-up.
That is equivalent to a Bac professionnel, you’d be well advised to do the French version possibly via the Greta. Or as @JaneJones said there are loads of schools around. As you’ve already done it in GB you could probably do it in one academic year.
