Corner sink in the WC

The previous owner installed a corner sink. Great but no storage below and pipes on display. Anyone found a cabinet to fit below an already installed corner sink?

Suggestions on how to easily remove that sticker? WD40 ?

Warm it with a hair dryier first, sometimes softens the glue, wd40 for glue residue later maybe?

It’s not a sink.

It’s a Hand Basin.

I doubt you’ll find a ready made cabinet and there wouldn’t be much space in it anyway.

I’d probably screw a couple of battens to the wall and box it in with MDF or other material of your choice.

Flexi MDF would allow a nice round enclosure.

cunning.

After peeling off as much as possible using Corona’s suggestion, then rubbing with acetone (nail polish remover) should remove all trace.

Great ideas, thanks.

Or try oil :slightly_smiling_face:

You can get citrus oil products to remove labels, they work quite well to dissolve the glue, as long as they can soak through the label itself.

Hence why trying to soften the glue first can be a good idea but of course depends on what glue they used. The same citrus formula is also used on some hand cleaning cloths and works very well.

White spirit is a very effective, if smelly, solvent for label adhesive.

In a previous company we once had to de-label 10,000 small bottles that had ‘permanent’ paper labels applied. White spirit was the only solvent that would soften the adhesive enough to scrape the labels off, and we tried quite a range.

Measure the dims of a cabinet that has an apex opposite/level with the vertical centre of the sink. Buy said cab. Trim to a suitable height if necc.

Assemble two sides of it to form an L.

Cut the sides down - outer edges - to suit the job. To be pukka, champher the cut edges to suit the angle they butt up against the wall … +/- 45%

Secure the edges of the sides touching the walls with L brackets to fit the angles. Or leave it free standing so you could pull it aside to get at the trap, when necc.

They do sell a deodorised vesion in brico sheds, dont knkw how effective as still have the smelly one.

Thanks for the instructions. A good DYI once all the boxes are unpacked.
