Firefox version 27 has just been released , but I noticed an article on a future versions - version 29 - which offers even greater new features and improvements. I do like the way Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox compete to constantly push each other. It has been great for browser development.
Beware of the newest clever wheeze. There is a Norton AV message going around offering it at a vast discount. I found it on the list my AV gives of new viruses.
If you have used this companies services, then you should be looking to change your credit cards, passwords and usernames everywhere. This is really a very bad hack.

Thats a good find Brian , I shall give it a go. I have though switch HTML5 on my YouTube account, and it has stopped a lot of my need for flash, but not completely yet.
Cheers
Nick
Happy new year to you all , and may all you bugs and technical issues be small ones in 2014 ;-).
Thanks Steve, had a complete ebay/amazon burnout and ending up hitting buy now on this!

James. I'd only go for that if you plan on swapping disks regulalrly. If it is a one off installation then this would be better http://www.amazon.fr/Icy-Box-IB-351StU3-B-Boitier-externe/dp/B0058P81E4/ref=sr_1_16?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1385651415&sr=1-16&keywords=boitier+externe#productDetails There are cheaper versions but they are limited to USB 2 so slower. Your current Mac may only have USB 2 ports but you be planning on renewing it one day
Steve, how about this, looks fine but says it's only compatible with the very latest version of Mac OSX, that's sounds bit odd to me. http://www.amazon.fr/Inateck-station-daccueil-alimentation-comaptible/dp/B00BQSXUFM/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1385650564&sr=1-2&keywords=sata+dock
I'm sure I can do that, what about a decent caddy, anything to look out for?
My Mac knowledge is very limited James. On a Windows machine I don't think you have much of a choice where the program files are installed.
That makes sense Steve, if I were to keep just the OS on the SSD, can I get away with quite small do you think, say 64GB, the OS requires under 16 I think and if I keep apps elsewhere would that work? Can you recommend a caddy?
James, Ihow about putting an replacing an existing hard disk with the SSD and putting the hard disk for which speed isn't that important in an external caddy ?
I have no bays free so I would prefer external but will it be fast enouhg on my ageing mac's usb bus?
Hi James, you can buy up to 512gb sdd internal hard disc for about 399 or less if you want 64 /120 /250 they are cheaper but they can be fitted inside
I think I should by an SSD for my Mac Pro, I want to put a fresh install of the OS on it. Can I run it from a USB port or should it go inside?
@Bruce I found the Instruction sheet on the web. Says that to act as a repeater you plug into a mains socket near to your ADSL router and then press the WPA button on the the adaptor and on the ADSL router so that the 2 can communicate. Then move the repeater to where you want to install it (at the limit of your existing WiFi signal) If that method doesn't work then you can configure it using a cable plugged into a PC. Can send the pdf file if you want but it's probably also on the CD that came in the box.
Got an Aldi Maginon Wifi Amplificateur....now...how do I use it, please?
Anyone got UnoTelly working on an android tablet
Sorry Justin but you can't promote your own services on SFN. Unless you want to pay for an ad of course!
He was the guy that got all my documents back for me but as its an old pc the cost of getting it completly right would be as much or more than a new one, after 3 hours work he decided enough was enough as he had given me a fixed price
