Goose eggs - use

Our lovely neighbour has given us some goose eggs.

What can we do with them? She suggested omelettes.

I would do a frittata with lots of other flavours to balance out the goose. I find them a bit strong.

I wondered if they might dominate. Thanks.

Wow, lucky you! Lovely neighbour indeed!

Best meat in the world is goose and best eggs are goose!

Omellete yes, but if you have a plentiful supply - try frying one - if you like eggs, a real treat… :grinning:

Make more geese. They make good watchdogs, my friend’s neighbour uses them as a fox deterrent protecting their sheep. :grinning:

They are great for baking. But you’ll need to weigh them. 1 large chicken egg is about 60gr

  • so scramble the goose eggs and use the equivalent in your recipe.

Goslings?

Cakes - when we had geese and ducks, that’s what my mum used them for.

The cat already has it bad enough with the neighbourhood cats beating him up. Add resident geese to that and he’d be a nervous wreck!

Will try cakes. Thanks.

Delicious à la coque
