How are you feeling post Brexit?

So now the dust has settled after the referendum, how are you feeling about the result? And the future? Do you think that the exit process is going to be such a long drawn out affair that we will all have time to cope with the changes? Or is this just the start of an administrative nightmare? Answers on a postcard please!

Both! Still waiting for the legal challenges to be heard but not holding my breath. AT worst it'll be loads more admin hassle, at best it won't make a blind bit of difference to me although I appreciate that even at best it'll still make a lot of difference to many who are far closer linked to the UK, especially financially. One of the most anoying things is just not knowing - this state of limbo could go on for months before article 50 is "actionned", if it ever is...!

Months, Andrew? You're clearly an optimist. This one is going to run, and run, and run .... and as you say, it may never happen. Like you, I'm in the happy position of being "independent" of the UK, so I don't think I will have too much hassle either way. It'll just be irritating to have to carry my passport if I want to cross into another EU country. Now where did I put it???

Well lets see....apart from the fact that I am still cross for not getting the chance to vote...

Hick up at Kensigton and Chelsea....never got a reply to my e mail....suprise! suprise.

Sad that it all happened and even more sad wondering how they are all going to untangle the

tangles.

Personally I was going to downsize....which is looking a little harder?

Or maybe not....to rush across sea to France may be a salvation.

What will tourism be like next year? Maybe I will be attracting europeans

and those from far away.

So.....a new challenge.

Who needs to retire!

optimistic, probably, but I hope there's some action one way or the other, article 50, à la rentrée, if not by Christmas, or next year... and then Boris et al will take a full two years to negotiate exactly what we had before but with no voice, no aid and it costing even more, give me strength!!!

...and this morning I hear that the government aren't going to do a thing until next year...! :-O

Starting to think it ain't ever going to happen :-D

And that may be the case! Perhaps this new leader is more crafty than we can imagine?

She seems to be getting on well enough with M Merkel.....

She was in favour of remaining.

I was listening to a well respected economist on R4 the other day who specialises in EU law who reckons the whole thing could take ten years to complete - that should wind up a few Brexiteers !

And, perhaps some of us need not worry....just enjoy what we have and forget about what is

not available.

Hatching a plot with Nicola Sturgeon perhaps at the same time.

Barbara, the main problem for is the abysmal exchange rate and we may need to run the gite harder than at present.

Fortunately we now have five weeks booked for next year. We had a couple who stayed for a fortnight and then went to stay in Alsace. Their gite was so awful that they left after two nights and booked into an hotel. They will be staying for the full three weeks with us next year!

It is sod's law that we will be full when we want to ease off.

The only alternative is to downsize and to use the released capital to make good the difference in the appalling exchange rate.

To answer Catherine, I feel cheated even though we did vote. All those British citzens who were promised the repeal of the fifteen year rule were denied any participation in what will affect us all most.

However, we went a lovely concert at a friend's house the other evening and our Mayor said he would give us French citizenship!

Before you all get antsy, we both know he can't, but it was the gesture which was so kind.

SKY NEWS

F Hollande "UK's decision, its responsibility - cannot be discussions and pre negotiations, the sooner the better in the common interest. Would like it to be reflected in the best possible timescale."

May: as UK leaves EU...still have "closest economic relationship between our countries, and it will take time to prepare those negotiations" "sensible for us that negotiations done calmly and orderly and that requires some months of preparations"

I wonder if Angela M and F Hollande have a quiet agreement to play good cop / bad cop so when the brexit negotiators (ie idiot Davis) go out Pres Hollande will be "No, absolutely not!", then Angela M will say, "Oh c'mon, we can allow at least X", Davis thinks he's getting a good deal but he's actually come away with less.

It's all just posturing from all sides at the moment. After all there can't be any negotiations until article 50 is invoked.....not officially anyway...

They said that about Tsipras and Merkel!

it will give jobs to negociators all otheyver The EU....thats a positive aspect. Moreover we need a new reshuffle of the cards.

Yes i am very ibteresred by the ten legal challenges going on. I read the Guardian and

The article said the conservative elite got horrified by the EU probe on off shore accounts and tax heavens including the monarchy and skewded the referendum to their liking. This means also denying expats votes. So we are cooked and fried altogether

How am I feeling? Nervous, that's how! As well as upset and angry.
