It was a great match
…I never watch footy or rugby. …but I think …for anyone who shares my passion for “Triumph of the Underdogs”…this must have been a glorious contest!
Bugger was my only comment. Ireland lost the plot in the second half. I’ve never been to Japan and was thinking of going out there for the first two Ireland games. I’d be clutching a soggy California roll and crying into my saké now if I had. On the positive side it’s good for the tournament.
@John_Scully Good for the tournament, absolutely! I like the Japanese way, of victory achieved without directly opposing the other’s strength. A kind of independence that leaves room for respect. Bad form to try to hammer the opposition, good form is using best possible skills/techniques of the game.
Very proud of my son Tim, he never expected to get any belts, for karate, but in Japan, even toughest opponents are keen to help beginners.
This is my son, another Fearless Fogie, in Japan.
