I deposited a parcel at an agency of DHL some weeks ago. It was destined to be sent to the UK.
For some strange reason, La Poste returned it to me (not DHL). Attached was a message: “The shipment is not data please send back to NTE”
Can ayone explain what this means?
No idea - was the reason given in English or French and if the latter what was the French used?
It was in German and English
Did you complete the online shipping form and include 3-4 copies in a document wallet on the outside of the parcel?
How odd.
Welcome to the forum by the way.
Hopefully someone has some more useful thought as to what is going on.
No, the outside label was provided by the company I was returning the goods to.
Tell sending company what happened - their label rejected - and ask them for another label. Not DHL if possible.
.
This calendar year with Amazon and 1 other sender I have had about 3 shipments from UK to me rejected en route at a German hub point, which in 2 of the cases looked like Schönefeld (East Berlin) airport, and returned to sender without any reference to me nor any good explanation at the time or after. Other parts of same order arrived ok.
I have a feeling the “incompetence index” in courier firms is rising in Germany in the past year or two - it’s by no means all shipments though.
This is why I am sending the blanket I am knitting for my grandson, it is for his bedroom and he is fourteen, so a large work, by friends who have a house near us but also live in Munich.
I do not want my work to get lost.

DHL works with la Poste in France.
Then a completed customs declaration form is what they want from you.
