I am taking my PV system from UK to France. So have panels and a Alpha ESS 5 kWh battery. Ground level installation. Will add more panels so will need a new inverter. Got in touch with one recommended on this forum, but they haven’t responded yet so looking for more options.
If you intend to grid tie just make sure that any new inverter (or micro inverters) are approved for connection to the French grid.

If it stays as a ground level installation, can it be connected to the grid ? I’m sure you can’t get paid for surplus with a ground level installation so you’d be giving it away, which may not really be a problem.

You may be right about the resale but there’s no other reason to prevent a ground level grid tied autoconsommation installation.
