Supply protected with 2-pole RCD Wiring

Hi,

Can anyone tell me why there are two lives & neutrals on the Supply 2-pole RCD, I have only one set of 16mm tails conected to my 39 way consumer unit looped between the three banks Many thanks.

A picture would tell all, but maybe you have a three phase supply…?

If there are four terminals on your disjoncteur de branchement, then it’s three phase (triphasé). There will be one neutral & three lives/phases.

If your main tableau is being run just as single phase then you might be experiencing overload tripping, or you have a much bigger supply than you really need.

Pictures, pictures…of the main breaker & the meter, & the tableau with the cover off.

That makes sense i will check and take a picture when i’m back in France,

Thanks for that.

Please do.

Was your property wired by a non-French electrician or, dare I say it, a person from the UK?
