Tattooing - love it or hate it - and Thoughts about a Blog

@anon89172871 Ann - seriously it was a cinch, just go for it!! Quite pleasant actually - maybe I’m a bit weird… I guess it may depend where on your body the work is being done :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The only thing that I remarked on was the fact the tattoo thingy (technical term!!) sounded like a dentist’s drill!!

Brilliant idea, I’ve got the perfect scar for one of those.

If you want a weird experience, try having a hip replacement done under epidural.

Been there, done that!
Yes, definitely a weird experience.
You think you can feel it especially when the hammer and chisel go in but no pain just vibrations.
Had mine 12 years now and all good.
I even wrote a book of the experience before during and after!!
An amusing read called "Bricks & Mortar " Available from Lulu book store.

Whoop…! Huge congrats on your first ink…! x

I used to enjoy every minute of the experience…It’s difficult to describe the sensation to someone who maybe wants a tattoo but is worried it might hurt…maybe a little like sunburn possibly…???

I love how what starts as a thought/idea in your mind becomes a part of your life journey…

Picturing blue skies and iconic scenes from many countries…x

No, I would want something that covers it, maybe a serpent coiling up some vine leaves !
Really as its so close to the bone then I’m sure it would be painful

It was over a few sessions Mandy…one side of my spine completed first and then the other but always left open ended so easy to add to my upper arms as time progressed…it goes down my back just about level with my bum cheeks but modesty and love handles forbid me from posting any more of it…! :grinning:

Ann - I just googled ‘tattoos to cover scars’, then click on ‘images’ - some great ideas! (not all!!)

I have a friend who has a similar beautiful flower tattoo to cover a c-section scar…and my sister in Canada has flowers disguising stretch mark scars in the same area…both felt much more confident and still love their tattoos now…

LOL daft isn’t it? But that’s just how it feels. As @Dawnt said - a really liberating experience - totally unexpected!

Wow I am so amazed, I expected it to be all red, swollen and weepy. Great tattoo, tasteful and not covered in ’ gorilla hair’ either :hugs::rofl:

So did I Ann - so surprised at how easy and painless it was - nearly nodded off!! No gorilla hair - my body is a temple :crazy_face::crazy_face:

Wow that looks so healed up and not red at all!
An extraordinarily tall and skinny pupil of mine had an absolutely enormous dragon done on one whole side of his chest and every Monday he used to show us all the progress the tattooist was making, he said for him the worst bit was the machine going over his ribcage, (it must have been like being a xylophone) but it was worth it.

Would you want colour or black and shade Ann…??? Stylised or realistic…??? So many possibilities…

In my experience although for some reason we expect that close to a bone may hurt more it was my flabbier bits that felt it more… x

Oh heck I’m getting worried now!! Apparently I’ve got to put clingfilm over it for 2 nights. Cream already applied twice. Maybe I’m going to erupt ???

Don’t know why but the phrase ‘big girl’s blouse’ has just popped into my head.:grinning:

Oh dear boys, you really do seem fixated with Simon…to the point where you imagine that ‘others’ are keeping him updated.
I will say once and for all that although Simon has blocked some people here… one can understand why…he can see all the replies of people who are not ignored by him ! Got it now ?
