Here is something that isn’t a film but a book I have recently read. Would love to see a film of this, well written, nail biting, had me hating and then loving the main character …
The authour is Pierre Lemaitre and the book (in French) is Alex, I couldn’t put it down and finished it in 2 days !

A bit of a disappointing list…apart from 2 Kechiche films they have overlooked the rich vein of french Algerian/Moroccan/international collaboration films. They seem very focused on on 1950’s to 1990’s with only a sprinkling from last 25 years.

Of course I can’t immediately think of the missing films…one that comes to mind is Des hommes et des dieux. No doubt I’ll remember others as day goes on…
