I can’t remember which book it’s in but I have a feeling that one of Martin Walker’s Dordogne Mysteries series features a chasse…

I’ve read most of the series and they’re quite good fun if you suspend disbelief…

It was used over 900 years ago, when William Rufus was killed whilst hunting. Allegedly by or at the benest of his younger brother who became Henry I. Henry abandoned his brothers body in the forest and rushed away with all haste to secure the throne. Not suspicious at all :thinking:
