I fear for a world where we are developing a whole new language that excuses our doing anything.

“historic winds” “extensive droughts” “perfect storm” - the language of LA officials.

When will the political world wake up to the fact that none of this now is exceptional.

Not only unexceptional but it was totally avoidable but can still be mitigated — if anyone is remotely bothered.
