I think I must have grabbed a previous offer from BipAndGo last October because I am paying a mere €1.90 a month (when the tag is used), saving €0.10 over the Ulys deal!
I did have to pay €20 up front for the tag, so if Ulys are waiving that charge, it’s a deal.
I assume the tolls are the same regardless of who you are with? I believe BipandGo also does car parks, though I haven’t tested it.
Regardless of which company you get your tag from I think they are a real time and hassle saver.

It does, but I haven’t come across many. It’s a pleasant surprise when it works. It also works in Italy and Spain if you select that option. We find that very useful as we’re in Italy quite a
French Lidl has 14 months free on Ulys in their Lidl Plus app under Partenariats on offer till 5th August. After that you pay 2 euros flat for only any month in which you use the pass, plus the actual péage or parking charges you use it for.
France has just moved another motorway to elrctronic only so a pass will be fairly essential increasingly. Otherwise you can pay péage fees at tobacconnists because manual gates will disappear off many motorways.
Of course if only a camera and no toll booth / staffing / building / maintenance of toll gates is needed on future motorways, that gets very close to being to make many more roads toll roads too. So progressively road charging may spread. But let’s not give them the idea unless that’s where it’s all going anyway.
