I’ve come to find that these videos with a big red arrow pointing at Trump or one of his cohorts tend to comprise wishful thinking on the part of the producers. They had VP Harris as president in waiting three months ago.
Don’t really see that US generals have a ‘dilemma’. They’re public servants and their new boss has an overwhelming democratic mandate. Unless they’re planning on staging a coup?

I’d describe it as an extremely dim-witted and ill-prepared attempt at a coup.
A marker at one end of the coup spectrum. I think the key term is ‘intentionality’ and what they intended was a coup - but although shocking, it was pathetically unrealistic.
Other examples of coups are available …

ok - the video was offering a hypothetical argument - what if Trump gives the military illegal orders etc, implying that is a likely scenario, despite the fact that as president 2016-2020, he had 4 years and did no such thing. This is psychological manipulation. Re ‘failed coup’ the last attempted ‘coup’ that springs to mind is the blackrock thing in Africa when a team of heavily armed mercenaries were sent to overthrow a government and they ended up in jail. Jan 6 wasn’t that. No heavily armed teams - it was hippies with shaman headdress, middle aged ladies etc. There were no weapons. Do I agree with what they did? No. Was it an ‘insurrection’? Of course not! The media has become a propaganda arm of the system and is trying to influence people’s interpretation of events.
True, but I think we’re now in a very different time and place. What he’s doing now in terms of appointments seems almost deliberately chaotic. I don’t think all these largely inexperienced mavericks will be able to work together, nor that Trump will be able to control how it all plays out

Ahhh, don’t make me laugh. I think it’s pretty important to know how far Trump can legally go (not that legalities really matter to a rapist and felon), I also think it’s important to know how for the bloody lunatics he’s appointing can go in their respective areas of responsibility, for want of a better word.
Tell that to Rupert Murdoch and Fox news. Maybe the left leaning media is OTT as well these days, but the bastard Trump created mayhem on January 6th and the intention of the idiots that stormed the Capital was to overturn the results of a free and fair election. That’s a coup in anybody’s book.

That’s probably the end result Mark, but I think his strategy is that by installing ill suited lunatics he’s be able to control everything. Not like last time around when all those pesky experts got in his way.
