I was talking this afternoon with a friend who is a member of Survive France but hasn’t posted recently. He was telling me that he doesn’t seem to be already logged in when he brings up the site since he can’t post anything. On the other hand, he can’t find anywhere to allow him to log in.

Log in issues are more @james sphere of influence.
But clearing all cookies would be my first suggestion, and if passwords have been forgotten log in can be done by dint of the system sending a link to the user’s registered email address.
Just to expand on my previous comment - if he clears out all cookies for survivefrance, then visits the site “front” page - https://www.survivefrance.com he should get a log in screen.
Yes that’s him, although I thought it was more recent than that when his dog died but perhaps time has gone more quickly than I expected.
