Will you be watching the Olympics Opening Ceremony?

I’m not that interested in individual events, but I will be watching the opening ceremony. I’ll be interested to see what Paris does with it.
Beijing was spectacular and London was fun. What will Paris be?

Maybe - it’s better than sport, anyway!

I’ve still not got round to watching the 2012 one…!

Not if its anything like the world cup effort. London was fun and the closing ceremony even better but I doubt the french can pull off anything in the same league to be honest.

What a bizarre thing to say. What makes you think that?

I’m off to for a few weeks to
live in a remote community where, as far à I know, they don’t watch TV or have any interest in sport. Can’t wait to leave.

I find it odd that the games started before the opening ceremony.

It’s for football where you can’t expect the overpampered, overpaid players to possibly play more than twice a week, poor things . They should have made it a 5 a side competition.

Rugby sevens, handball and archery have all started as well.

Haha, okay, I’ll concede on that one

HRS (Her Royal Slapper) Camila should be up for it. In fact, they could both glide in on His Royal grumpy, my pen is leaking, Majesties ears. I see the freeloaders are about to cash in with GB Energy too. plus ça change, :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Well having watched Under Paris recently, I will be waiting for the big shark to come along as the main event. Just can’t get that out of my mind

Well, we did get a shark in the sewers at the start. It all seems very dull to me at the moment. Even Lady Gaga in a skimpy costume doesn’t excite. God, I hope it gets better soon.

What time does it start? We are currently having fun on the terrace with flightradar24 watching the activity  military refueling plane circling Paris.

Agreed. I’ve got ironing to do in the cottage - suddenly that seems more exciting!

Wow, that’s interesting. There’s a huge black hole in the airspace around Paris for about 200km. Only one aircraft in that space, and it’s in a large holding pattern to the west of the city. An A332 military plane.

Probably to stop J Bond from parachuting in.

There’s another one of those Armée de L’Air Airbuses circling over Rouen.
