Your Favorite Poster

Like Simon said or you can also drag it in to the compose window.

That’s by ThĂ©ophile Steinlen dated about 1899. He was renowned for his illustrations of cats. The Chat Noir was a Night Club.

This one is by Adolphe Hohenstein, despite his name he was Italian.

Ok for a bit of fun - ask me for a Poster (type, place, product, event, war, peace, - whatever, and see what I can find.

Brilliant Norman! How about early aviation events, routes, milestones etc?

Oh Norman
and there I was thinking I couldn’t possibly fit any more pictures on my walls
I would willingly shove something in the attic for one like this

In 1890 lack of population vis-a-vis France and Germany was the problem - not enough future soldiers!

I still have not hang up my posters (only been here 2 years
) but I have weird memory, a card given to me 1/2 year before this guy became president

I’ve got a poster that isn’t a poster but one of those 1970s mirrors with a poster design on it. It’s almost impossible to photograph. It was an 18th or 19th birthday present from my girlfriend at the time. It is an advert, in French, for an American vintage car made under licence in France. Now, so many years later and living in France I own the same make and model. It probably proves that the advertising tactic worked.
