However, the motorhome has it’s CA sticker in the bottom left (I was young and innocent when I fitted it) but have had no problems with the Flicks in the time we have been driving it in France.
Just make sure its the real Gov site, friend fell foul of a bogus one after 8 weeks no sticker. Its only 4 euros but they must be making a killing. Shame controlls cannot act as quickly as the can to issue a ticket!
I spoke to a French traffic officer about this in the Bosgouet Aire south of Rouen in March this year.
He said that the main enforcement of Crit’Air infractions will be by roadside cameras . The stickers are mainly to allow easy identification of non-complying parked vehicles by foot-based patrols including traffic wardens etc.
I mentioned the Nantes situation to a French friend because I know he goes to Nantes quite often. He had never heard of Crit Air, nor had his mother. I went to get mine out of the glovebox to show them and noticed that the date on the letter was July 2019. I hope it will sill stick to the windscreen. My friend is ordering his this evening. I warned him about the bogus sites so he copied the web address off my letter.
it’ll be alright (fingers crossed)
I’m trying to send 42 pages of photos and the “blue line” showing progress has been awfully still for the last 10 minutes … aaargh
The c/a position imposed suggests it is for easy reading from the ‘kerbside’ by someone foot. The QR code provides automatic reading by handheld device.
Most camera/ transponder enforcement prefers a centre top windscreen position e.g. autoroute tags etc.
